"It really helped me to get a better sense as to what the financial services industry is about. I got exposure to a variety of tasks of a successful financial advisor. I was provided with an abundance of information for me to take in. I will be able to apply this knowledge to my own finances. If this is ultimately what I decide to pursue after graduation, I will have a huge head start, having gained some experience and exposure to field work from this program. I also worked through an entire 30 page paper with my capstone group that outlined a comprehensive financial plan. This was extremely valuable, because it provided me with exposure to the actual planning aspect of the career."

Help students leverage what you've taught them.
The students who thrive in this program stand out as leaders among their peers and show interest in helping other people. They are the kind of entrepreneurial leaders who are highly visible in campus life - the ones that readily get involved in innovative projects and are not afraid to have their voices heard.

Impressive in its breadth and scope, this paid summer program offers access to the expertise and experience of leading professionals in the financial services industry. With the help of a Mentor, students will receive an in-depth orientation to financial services, including investments, retirement planning, and insurance products. Then, they will join MetLife and New England Financial professionals as well as The American College faculty, where they'll study financial concepts and industry insights with students from all over the country.

When they return to the Firm, they'll have the opportunity to test-drive what they've learned. The program culminates in a Capstone Project where they will be provided a situation to develop their own creative business approach and marketing plan. In the end, they'll submit a research paper.

Significant? Definitely. How many students do you know who will be well-paid to work with one of the world's most recognized financial services companies this summer? What's more, they'll gain insight into what it is like to build their own business - keeping in mind they'll have the support of an expert Mentor and resources that are second to none. If you know students headed into business or those who could benefit from a deeper exploration of the career opportunities in financial services, this is exactly the right place to start building their future.

What's in it for your school?
You could provide a promising student with a real-world experience and help launch them into a financially and personally rewarding career in financial services. In addition, representatives from our local MetLife or New England Financial Firms can visit your classroom or student club to share their perspective on financial services careers.

Invite students to explore this program.
